Look around intown Atlanta neighborhoods, and you’ll see home renovations are on the rise. Level Craft is pleased to be a leader in Atlanta home renovations, creating transformative renewals that allow homeowners to stay in the places they love with minimal disruptions to their lives.
Why are renovations popular now? The markets are making it harder to move. Home prices are rising at a brisk pace. Last quarter, the Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA) House Price Index showed that homes in the Atlanta-Sandy Springs area have risen in value 5.57% over the last year and an astonishing 41.39% over the last five years.
At the same time, the supply of homes for sale is dropping. Atlanta area inventory fell 36.9% from October 2019 to October 2020.
All of this means that homeowners who are ready to make a change may find themselves with extra equity in their homes but no place to move. Likewise, families that do find a new place to live are less likely to find a modern home that fits their needs. This is especially true in the Atlanta intown area, where land is only growing scarcer and many neighborhoods are older.
Enter Level Craft. Our women-owned company brings a combination of art, construction know-how and business smarts to every home, creating transformative renovations that meet homeowners’ goals while staying on track and on budget.
Home renovations require an imagination. Someone must look at a space and envision the transformation that can come from keeping one section, tearing down another, and expanding still another. Level Craft’s owners have art backgrounds that help them see the possibilities.
An example is a home we recently renovated on Kensington Road. A single-story, dated home with no defined style, the home was larger than it looked with good bones, but needed more usable space and to feel more light and roomy.
The most dramatic and unexpected change Level Craft recommended and implemented was raising the roof to create a dormer. The change not only added interest to the exterior, but it also flooded the interior living area with natural light.
Our team also rebuilt the two bathrooms, owner’s suite, guest suite, kitchen and main living areas, including a home office. The home sits on a site with a gracious backyard, so we extended the living outdoors with a screened porch and fireplace. We transformed the garage into a one-bedroom apartment and added a carport. Finally, we gave the exterior a facelift with clean lines and updated materials.
Another example of a dramatic renewal is located on Grist Stone Court in Druid Hills. The dated home needed an overall refresh, plus the homeowners wanted space for a state-of-the-art media room. In this case, we knocked down some walls to create an open floor plan, while also slicing the dated vaulted ceiling to create the desired media room upstairs. We freshened the looks of the bathrooms, kitchen and exterior too.
From a complete gut-and-rebuild to a basic refresh, Level Craft’s home renovation services bring the imagination and the hard work needed to keep homeowners in their current Atlanta intown properties or to make new-to-them properties meet their tastes and lifestyle.
