HISTORICAL INTEGRITY
Winter Avenue began as a small 1920s classic craftsman bungalow. The owners have a growing family and needed more room to spread out. Once we removed the exterior wall in the rear of the home to add the addition we found a massive amount of termite damage, foundation issues, and other structural problems! It became a real temper tester to rebuild the existing structure while keeping the historical integrity.
We added a master suite, new kitchen and living room, a downstairs half-bath, a mud room, two upstairs bedrooms, a laundry room and upstairs kids flex space.
With careful and extensive engineering we were able to get the job done. The owners now have a lovely home with room for their growing family, with historical integrity intact.
