Our expert team at Level Craft Construction is proud of this custom-built home in Decatur. We took a dilapidated property and turned it into a stunning new home fit for a modern family. We designed this brand-new home plan, built it and sold it to one lucky family who is now enjoying life in their magnificent modern farmhouse masterpiece, and we’re so excited to share it with you!
After tearing down the existing structure, we utilized the depth of the property to create an elongated modern home, complete with a farmhouse exterior. Crisp vertical shiplap siding is complemented by striking matte black fixtures including trim, lighting, fencing and railing. The home also boasts a stunning oversized front porch, perfect for enjoying the warm southern climate.
Inside, the homeowners and their guests are immediately met with a trendy mix of modern features and southern charm. Large windows are placed strategically throughout the first floor, allowing natural light to flood in and make an already spacious open-concept main living area appear even bigger. Unique lighting fixtures offer a fashionable statement piece while exuding warm and welcoming light.
The black and white contrast is continued inside and is especially apparent on the modern staircase. Using straight, clean lines, this staircase boasts beautiful white steps and supports alongside black risers and handrails.
The spacious island kitchen is every chef’s dream! Updated stainless steel appliances, ample cabinet space and a wealth of counterspace offer room to prep, chop, cook and sauté all day! The kitchen opens directly to a cozy living room area, complete with a black marbled fireplace surrounded by shiplap walls and built-in bookshelves.
Of course, no new home reconstruction would be complete without a fabulous owner’s suite bathroom. This bathroom boasts sleek granite countertops with modern silver fixtures for a contemporary look, as well as a square drop-in bathtub adjacent to a wall of built-in shelving. The glass-enclosed shower features a chic black wall and a luxurious ceiling-mounted shower head.
