Every Level Craft Construction project becomes a home once residents move in and begin a new life in their dream residences. While the Level Craft Construction team enjoys spotlighting our new construction, renovation and revival projects, we love to check in on the fantastic homeowners residing in our projects.
Level Craft Construction recently caught up with a family of three who fell in love with and decided to build a forever home on magical McClean Street in the charming Decatur neighborhood. Bob and Lucinda sat down with our team and shared their experience building their reimagined home in Intown Atlanta.
Known for its walkability, the Decatur neighborhood provides the family with a strong sense of community. The popular Atlanta locale is also known for its exciting lineup of events, making it a beloved spot for visitors and locals.
Lucinda said, “We had seen Level Craft signs in our neighborhood, we did some research and reached out to them! We loved that Virginia and Debbie are a local, woman-owned firm and felt like they really got us.”
Initially planned as a renovation, the project transformed into a new construction endeavor following the unprecedented circumstances of the COVID-19 pandemic. Despite several obstacles, the Level Craft team guided the family through the process with incredible energy, experience and confidence.
During our conversation with the family of three, they shared that their favorite part of the construction process was watching from the comfort of their folding chairs during the pandemic. Watching their dream home come to life from a small apartment nearby was the highlight of their quarantine. Neighbors regularly met them there for a drink while their children played nearby.
Lucinda said, “Most nights you will find us and our neighbors out in our front yard chilling and enjoying our home.”
While their new construction home features several beautiful new appointments, Lucinda shared that her personal favorite is the sparkling kitchen! An open-concept design highlights a stunning double island with under-counter drawers and no upper cabinets. The reimagined space is perfect for chatty cocktail hours with friends, family get-togethers and seasonal celebrations.
Lucinda said, “Thank you so much for our beautiful home that we love and adore! Thanks for your patience…[and] thank you for recommending our project architect, Robert Koch Designs – we really appreciated his knowledge and attention to detail!”
